St Cecilia’s Hall is Scotland’s oldest concert hall and home to the University of Edinburgh’s collection of musical instruments. Built by the Edinburgh Musical Society, this Georgian jewel held its first concert in 1763. Today the museum displays over 500 musical instruments spanning five centuries of musical heritage and history.

There is no dedicated parking at St Cecilia’s Hall. Pay and display parking can be found on Niddry Street and Cowgate. The nearest car park is the Radisson Blu hotel carpark, Blackfriar Street and the NCP carpark on Holyrood Road.
St Cecilia’s Hall is accessible through a number of bus routes. Bus stop (South Bridge): 3, 5, 7, 8, 14, 29, X29, 31, X31, 33, X33, 35, 37, X37, 45, 49 – allow 3-5 minute walk time.
If arriving by train, Waverley Station is 0.3 miles away – allow 7 minute walking time.
